Halide Balance?

I am very, very glad that you intuited and levelled off the problem (Sounds to me like you did anyhow, and Congratulations!), and that it didn't go to critical mass..

Nevertheless, I saw this kind of situation coming, and knew it was only a matter of time-
That was why I requested a 'Halide Balance' Forum before.

I hope that we can find some way to address this, so that we might evolve a method (Even if it's only an observational process)of tuning or at least defining our state of Halide balance, evolved by us and based upon *experience*. I do know that's a lot to ask for, but where else shall we go to find such information? And I think it needs to be found..Or the database built.. By solution-oriented people. Like us.

IMHO there is probably some healthy form of Bromine, Fluorine, Chlorine, and we must need them, otherwise Halide *Balance* wouldn't be an issue. Attempting to balance the Halides by creating an over-Iodine imbalance is not a longterm answer. Ingesting toxic forms of the other 3 Halides in order to stopgap a reaction IMHO isn't a good idea, although I'm *really* glad it worked for you..

The blankety-blanks are trying to make Iodine unavailable because others might use it to make speed, isn't that right? Nevertheless, the health of our Nation (And, I believe, our Earth) is suffering because of a dietary shortage of Iodine.

Maybe an actual Forum isn't needed for Halide Balancing (Haven't we all got enough to do :)?), but some kind of addressing this so that it's not *all* about only and totally Iodine.

Much as I love Iodine.. :)

Any other ideas on how to address this???

PS: My personal opinion is that I do not want to take anything away from the momentum of this forum. I think we have a rare jewel here. But IMHO the Halide *Balance* topic needs to be addressed. My question is- How to do it? -L Tweet
