Re: HELP me with this please
I can certainly understand your frustration and disappointment. Taking a pill or using a cream would certainly be easier . Change is difficult and, depending on how you are living your life, it may involve a lot of work. As far as it working, the changes that are being suggested to you are not just about clearing up your skin, but will also improve your health in general. You are fortunate that you are looking into this now when you are so young...it may very well save you from the pain and suffering that so many others who visit this site are struggling with. I did a lot of damage to my health when I was in my teens and twenties, and you can avoid that and begin improving your health considerably by making the changes now.
As for what is contained in foods, if you stick with whole, fresh foods then you avoid a lot of the things that I mentioned previously. It does require that you read food labels. As a general rule, if the list of ingredients is long, or if it contains things that you can't pronounce it's probably not very good for you. Organic is best if you can get it.
With regard to stress...everyone has some degree of stress, but the important thing is how you manage it. Exercise helps. Meditation helps. A postitive attitude helps. Good, supportive relationships help. Breathing deeply is of vital importance. Taking up a regular practice like yoga or tai chi are also beneficial.
I realize that many of the things being suggested to you are far from the direction that most teens take themselves. But you have a wonderful opportunity to begin developing habits that will improve your health and well-being...not to mention your skin!...that will last a lifetime. The older you get, the worse your health is and the longer you practice unhealthy habits...the harder the changes are to make.
Best wishes to you!
