No one restrains the news orgs, from getting the story right. But in their rush to fill air time the initial reports are not thoroughly fact checked. Have you forgotten the 50 000 dead that they were initially reporting for the Twin Towers? Or the way they blamed AlQuaeda for several hours (days? for what McVeigh had done? This is why sometimes it is better to get the story from a paper or the nightly news and not the 24 news channels.

The reason most rational people are sure this is not a conspiracy is because there is no evidence. You are seeing connections where none exist. Apophenia.
