Re: Natural is Better
Hmmm, I've been thinking diligently on this: >>although there can be contraindications/merits for/against both in certain disease states.<<
I can't come up with ANY contraindications for juice fasting...when done properly (fresh organic juices in the range of a gallon daily), jf 'regulates' weight of the weakest of patients (i.e., wasting syndromes, severe underweight issues). There's the issues of feeding
parasites too much 'sugar'/diabetes, but that can be fixed by choosing foods low on the glycemic index, and this issue of 'no fat' when the body needs fats, but that's easily fixed with either supplementing or adding oils to the juices.
Educate me! What illnesses/states of disease will not benefit by having the 65-75% of total body energy restored (normally used in the digestive process) for the body to utilize in healing itself?
Interesting...in all my reading/studying, I've never seen a contraindication for juice fasting (unless it was allopathically rendered, of course).
