You need to go get a second opinion, one that is honest and true. I had a similar thing happen, but I caught it at 1 month. Yes, for all those that have asked, IUD pregnancies do show up on take home pregnancy tests.

My obgyn was very honest with me and said prior to getting the Mirena that there was a chance of getting pregnant, but most likely it would be a nonviable pregnancy. She has always been upfront with me (and she is a supporter of the Mirena). I made the choice to get a DNC. It was a difficult choice, but I already had a previous baby that I needed to take care of and decided that I needed to not take any risks that although brutal and the toughest of MY LIFE, I could somehow avoid.

It was too important for my health and and future pregnancies to hold onto something that could kill me. Remember that this is only month 2 and that as you become more pregnant, the pressure on the foreign body (the Mirena) can tear your uterean wall and the cyst can take the blood away from your unborn baby.

I know this is a hard choice to make, but you need all the facts. Do what is best for you. I am so sorry we have all had to become lab test for this form of birth control, but at least we are able to talk about it. Good luck.
