Re: Sincerely Need Help: Am I Exaggerating?

Last night I was awakened by a phone call from a neighbor who was in tears, Her 44 year old son-in-law had just died of a massive heart attack. This man was hardly the sedentary type, he was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and a motorcycle fanatic. He has never had any recognizable health problems. His worst fault was being the worst kind of junk food junkie, healthy foods were an anathema to him. Sudden premature death can and does happen. I would not wish this on anyone, his poor wife is in shock, his daughter who has dealt with cancer and child birth in recent months fell apart.

We cannot nag or cajole anyone into adopting a healthy lifestyle. Hopefully your husband will prove his love for your and acknowledge your love for him by trying to cut out bad habits and gradually following a healthier path. I have no advice, only grief that too many people are dying far too young because of their diets. We are being slowly murdered by our cultural mindset; it is up to each individual to rebel against this mindset and follow the right path.
