Re: A comment on the MC and weight loss

Very interesting!

If there is excess fat, it is unusual for it not to burn first. However, the body cleanses according to a certain order, and apparently fat is not its first priority in your case. This would indicate to me that other issues are being dealt with, and that you must indeed have needed this cleanse! Good for you!

I NEVER get on the scales until I am through with my cleanse. As weight fluctuates, if you are focused on "a pound a day" you can become disheartened. My advice to you would be to wait until day ten to make any decisions. If by then you have not attained your goal, consider doing another 5 days.

A couple of things: NEVER break a fast on a low. If you reach day ten and do not feel wonderful, fast through until you do before breaking. DO drink lots of extra water every fasting day. Half your weight in ounces is a good rule, in addition to the lemonade. Help your body to flush flush flush! Be religious about the colon cleansing routine every fasting day.

Of course, you will drink OJ for a day after the MC, then you will be eating lightly for a few days through the break. You may well continue to lose a bit more weight during this period.

According to what you said there should be no need to stress a sensible diet and exercise plan post fast to help keep the weight off!

Best,
Somer
