Yes I can relate to you. we had a cat just like that who was having kidney failure. Breath really bad. We put him to sleep vet said he was too far gone. The kidney failure will give them really bad breath. My cat hasnt' gotten this far yet but She could if she doesn't start eating better. She eats just enough to stay alive. Not good. But if she gets worse we may have to put her down unless they can come up with a better idea. I am going to give here CS too and see if that will help her eat or perk her up. She is a picky eater too which doesnt' help . i have opened 6 cans of catfood before she finds one she likes. Thankfully I have other cats so it doesn't get wasted but she will only eat it freshly opened and you never know if it will be what she wants. She is funny she will stick her nose up to one food but a week later will eat it and vica versa. That doesn't help the situation but she almost gags after she eats like it didn't settle right so it makes her not want to eat. She begs for food sometimes and then wont' eat. That really hurts me. I am sorry to hear about your cat I know this must have hurt you. Pets are almost like our kids sometimes. I am going to give her a chance because she acts like she wants to live but if she gets worse or can't seem to have a normal life no matter what we do then she may be better off being put down. As of now she is not that far gone but could easlily if the nutrition doesn't pick up. Thanks for your response and again I am so sorry to hear about your cat.
