Immune system and parasites

Does anyone know if parasites can create a problem with your immune system making it deficient? I was diagnosed with hypogammaglobulemia which is deficient antibodies, IgG (3 subclasses) and IgA. I don't believe this as it is the stupidest thing I have ever heard, because I want to know why and they can't tell me, pretty much said I was born that way..don't buy it because I was too heatlhy as a child into my early adulthood..so anyhow, do you think it could be parasite related? I think it is but if I'm wrong I don't want to continue on anti parasite herbs thinking if I get rid of them I get well..does anyone know a thing about this? I was able to bring them up slightly this last blood test.
I got really well doing a thirty day parasite cleasne which is why I got to thinking if this could be related.
