That COULD make sense in a very disturbing kind of way you know!
All I know is that those Echinococcus are some of the SCARIEST things I've come across ever! I want to see the last one of them DEAD, wiped off the planet. Never mind balance or "ecology", these things must go!

Normally I don't fear parasites, but these Echinococcus are extremely bio-hazardous. I'm not sure I'd want to manipulate them up close. I mean, I probably would, but only if there was 'no alternative'.

Hydatid is endemic, pandemic, in many regions on earth, hydatid is endemic in animals also.
It appears this organism combined with the malaria acting microscopic threadworms are what determine cellular death.

In theory, everything should be fine as long as there's moisture and humidity; IN THEORY. One has to be really nuts to handle those things. And to think that I was actually considering doing so not so long ago! Moments of insanity, I guess!
