Re: Wonderful article and thanks plus welcome to Curezone
Hi Ami,
Thanks for writing.
>i am 90-95 % vegan
I should point out that my book, although seriously anti-dairy, does not recommend meat-free living. I am not suggesting, of course, that you should change. I just wanted to be clear about my beliefs. (I am glad that you do get some meat from time to time -- I do strongly believe that we are better off with it than without it.)
>i like fresh fruit/ veggies/cooked oatmeal etc
>homemade granola bars etc...
Sounds like you are doing better than most! It amazes me how many people don't even consider what they eat...
>curious to ask..please in cooking what do you use as a milk >substitute?
There are a few options.. almond milk, oat milk, rice milk, soya.
>i also use stevia herb for personal sweetening agent if i feel >it needs it.. or a dash of grade b maple syrup.
I would suggest that honey is a good sweetener -- there is plenty of evidence to suggest that we have been eating honey for many thousands of years. I have not come across stevia before I would like to research it before complete the section on sugar for my book. Thanks for reminding me.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I am looking forward to some interesting questions, conversations and debates.
Warm regards,
Eric Edmeades
