Re: GENUINE SUPPORT
Ok, obviously you didn't read my message too well. I did say that ppl who are considering doing a fast SHOULD do the proper research and understand what they are getting themselves into before they do it. Did I ever say "yeah, go right ahead, do a 40 day fast, you'll be fine!" UM, no. I never said that ppl with no idea what fasting involves should jump right into an extended fast. Please stop putting words into my mouth. I am an experienced faster, and no, I've never posted here before yesterday. I have been to this sight many times, researching new info and things like that, so I'm not new to Curezone. I respect a lot of Mike's responses, for he does have some good advice, but it seems he is way to harsh to those who want to lose weight. Losing weight means a lot to ppl. People who are overweight or obese feel something that a lot of us don't feel. Most of them have struggled with a lot of these issues for a long time, going from one fad diet to the next, using dangerous diet pills, hoping this will be the "cure all", but find themselves right back where they started. It's hard for them, bc it's not about being just lazy and not "wanting" to do something about their weight, it's about an obsession with food, that they can't seem to overcome. Granted, there are some ppl out there who are just plain lazy and don't do anything but sit around and eat junk all day, but I'm talking about most ppl. I do think that ppl should start by trying a diet like say South Beach, which incorporates good carbs, good fats, and dosen't deprive you. You can still eat that steak, just a leaner steak and a good helping of some fresh veggies or a nice salad, with REAL dressing. Go ahead and put some low fat cheese on that salad with some bacon bits and maybe some chicken or shrimp. I don't think everyone should just say, "ok, i wanna quick fix, i just won't eat for 30 days!" NO, that's not recommended. But, i'm saying for those who HAVE done their research and looked at their options, if they feel they want to try a 7 day fast, then that's their decision. If after 7 days, they are feeling ok, if they want to go another 3 days or 5 days, that's their decision! The only reason i even wrote to you Mike the first time, was to just say that if you want to help ppl and try to lead them in the right direction, do it a little less harsh. No one is coming here to be "lectured" and you just shouldn't come off as a "know it all". Help ppl, don't act like you are an expert.
