Re: playing with fire
I used to use enemas. Then I quit. I didn't notice much difference. There have been a couple of times I used an enema when I was about to break a fast and felt is was premature. I got a little relief and was able to continue the fast.
But to each his own. Within the broad guidelines of prudent fasting priniciples, I think it's okay to try some of this stuff and see how it works for you. I've done
The Master Cleanse and all the organ cleanses, and they're of no use to me. My
Sugar readings shot way up into the diabetic range. On the other hand I know hopinso is big on liver cleanses, and I wouldn't dispute her experience.
Most of this stuff is a mystery to me, I'll have to be honest. What I do know is that reduced caloric intake, nutritionally dense natural food, adequate protein, plenty of rest, exercise as tolerated given one's physical limitations, make me feel better and give me better lab values.
I'm trying to avoid obsession and enjoy living life, while keeping a sensible balance.
I'm not much help on much of this stuff anymore, there just seems to be so much controversy. Bragg is my model. He made it without the enema. But I don't think he'd ridicule the individual who really felt it benefitted them.
