Re: playing with fire
Mike, great posts. Very well said all-'round. Now let me ask, what is your opinion on enemas during a fast? Also, I'm skeptical of the article in the below link. If you have time I'm curious what your stance is. This is a cut & paste from a reply of mine a few threads down.
Quote from this article:
http://library.floresca.net/497-3.html
"The Sheltonite capital "N" Natural capital "H" Hygienists do not
recommend any colon cleansing, ever! They think that the colon will
spontaneously cleanse itself on a long water fast, but my experience
learned from monitoring hundreds of fasters is that it doesn't
really.
Herbert Shelton also considered colon cleansing enervating
and therefore undesirable. Colon cleansing does use the faster's
energy but on the balance, colon cleansing saves more work on the
part of an overburdened liver than it uses up."
Now wait a second, fasting has been done for thousands of years. Is the author suggesting that up until enemas were administered --and if someone knows what period they were devised, please share--, humans weren't able to regain their colon health? Someone argue with me on this.
I don't know about this doctor. One part of me believes a lot of what she says, but then I read things like the above or her suggestion of putting SHOWER water in your 1/2 galon enema bag before it becomes empty for the purpose of filling your colon with the desired 1 galon (which is the max the colon can hold empty), and I just scratch my head. I mean SHOWER water of all things? Do you know how much CLORINE and other posions are in shower or tap water? Dear God! And she claims to have administered 5000 enemas to patients. I just don't know.
