I do not think there are that many words in the Bible.

"And how many times does he refer to the old testament, and correct it or alter it? "it is written, but I say..."

He was offering "The Kingdom" to Isreal with a new government with Christ as King, if they would accept Him as "The Messiah", a transition from Law to Beatitudes.

What happened in history need not concern us today. The question is, today, are you rightly related to The Son of God? 2Co 6:2  for He says, "AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU, AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU." Behold, now is "THE ACCEPTABLE TIME," behold, now is "THE DAY OF SALVATION"
