The point is, both your's as well as my question is utter foolishness, both are distractions to keep our eyes off of Christ. When we come to understand how much God loves us and what it cost Him to prove it to us, then it may be a motivator to tell others "The Good News" (Gospel).
But as to suffering, all will suffer, believer and unbeliever. The unbeliever because they reject the Truth, the believer is called to suffer: Phi 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake. Nobody escapes suffering, but a believer can have a faith rest mental attitude and peace in the soul while going through it.
