Re: I have heard that Pat is a Freemason...

Oh, I get the gist of the article I guess---I only glanced at it. It's almost a disinformation article, except for the fact that it's an atheist site so you know that they just don't buy into the need for any 'religious' pursuits, period. Not that I'm for "religion" (I want relationship with my Creator, not traditions of men).

I saved it to disk for further reading....thanks!

The error in the author's thinking, from the little that I read, was that they attribute the 'blaming' of Freemasonry to a recent history thing. They don't realize neither the pervasiveness t/o time, nor the origins. It's referred to in the Bible...

Speaking of another Masonic splinter group, the Mormons, I found a great site with free download of books. A couple of the books are co-authored by William Schnoebelen and he is wonderful.

Particularly, if you want to understand the handshakes and grips (such as the Lion's Paw--such as what Pat Robertson was gesturing), look at Mormonism's Temple of Doom.

http://www.mazeministry.com/resources/books/doom.htm and specifically to this page

http://www.mazeministry.com/resources/books/doombook/doomtext/00contents.htm and select the chapter on "Melchizadek grips that will take you to heaven."

It shows the occultic significance and power [demonic power] associated with participating in these 'prophetic acts' if you will. I say prophetic, because if it is performed in the natural, it has a corresponding action in another spiritual dimension and has ramifications that we are not likely aware of in totality.

I liken it to Jer: 50-51...after Jeremiah pronounces DOOM on Babylon, he is told to take a stone and throw it in the river in Babylon during the time of the captivity. Later, at the end of the book of Revelation, you have similar prophecies and the angel takes a huge stone, like a millstone, and throws it in the river, representing AGAIN that Babylon shall sink and never rise again. Very interesting...

We humans have been given much power and dominion by virtue of our placement by God here on this earth. When we align ourselves with the Word, it is very powerful. But even the unregenerate man has power--as it was said at the time of the tower of Babel...the people were in agreement and nothing would be impossible to them if they were not thwarted somehow....therefore the languages were confounded.

Anyway, the book is good, and here's another page that was awesome:
