Gotta disagree with you here - firmly telling family to BUG OFF after dumping all sorts of garbage about the girlfriend is not going to help when family feels a sense of loyalty to stand by their son and also hurt by the girlfriend's exchange - and it will only create more hard feelings and additional problems if there's a future for this relationship. Siding up against an 'enemy' is what started the problem. You create healthy boundaries by taking control of your life and how you live it - not by erecting walls with harsh emotions. Tweet
