Squeaky I am not saying Atkins is the final word by any means! Actually I think Atkins was just a guy who saw something wrong and did something about it! I think he opened the worlds eyes to the fact that it was not neccesarily protein and animal fats that was causing obesity and heart attacks and diabetes but that the standard american diet was so deadly that processed wheats and grains and white flour and donuts and pastries and colas where killing us! That the egg was once again ok to eat and that the American Dietetic Ass. recommendation to replace butter with oleo margerine was a bad idea! But he also left us a lot to think about! I am also not totally down on vegetarianism for certain periods of time if nothing else for a change or variety in life! there is tons of good reliable knowledge out there,lets use it all! Grog Tweet
