IMO, not a good idea

Umm...
First of all, you do realize that lacto is the part that indicates the dairy products, and ovo indicates egg, right?
And that oils don't have protein?
Just checking from the way you wrote your post.

Anyway, I have strong reservations about people consuming mass or even moderate amounts of dairy products, and anything above minimal soy products. Tofu especially, quite scary.
Check out www.doctorwithin.com and www.mercola.com for articles on soy, and www.notmilk.com. If you are eating the things in your list above in high quantities I can only imagine the amounts of mucous your body would be producing, and the immune-damping effects. You would definitely need to eat TONS of green veggies daily, rather than avoiding them, in order to help preserve your body.

I think for a vegetarian to aim to eat high protein sounds quite odd, as one reason vegetarian is considered to be healthy is that it provides adequate, not excessive amounts of protein. I would consider vegan, or just ovo vegetarian a better choice. I can observe that many vegetarians have a very unhealthy diet.

I myself was vegetarian for many years, and in retrospect it was not a healthy way of eating. Although I now eat some eggs, chicken, beef, and the very occasional fish (and I have concerns about polluted animal sources, as well) I have cut out all dairy and soy and eat the majority of my diet as fruits, steamed veggies, and raw veggie juices. I am MUCH healthier now than I was then.

In conclusion, I am not advocating meat eating or vegetarianism so much as I am concerned about people putting massive amounts of toxic products in their body, be in tofu (scary!), milk, or meat.

By the way, if you read the post a little further down the page from me, about my sister's experience, I still stand by the idea that for her, atkins was a healthier way of eating, because previously she had been eating high animal protein, plus lots of wheat, Sugar - straight-up junk! Never said it was ideal, though.

Do some research before you delve into any sort of eating plan.
