I completely agree; children do not belong in adult relationships...

I agree with you all, in regards to my daughter. I am not sure how that even came up, but YES! Children are not adults and do not belong anywhere in an adult relationship... I have always made it a practice to only introduce her to those that have been around for a while and there is solid hope that they could become more than just a girlfriend. I say that... I have only been in two real relationships since the divorce.
As for the other... "girl time" I also completely understand. I workout a lot, and also stay very active. My daughter likes to use that time to play with her friends, and it gives me a time to work off the tensions of a hard day at the office, and well... I am a little vain. I like to take care of myself.
So am I to understand that it isn't controling to want a girl to give me some idea of what her plans are? If we have plans, I agree... if she stands me up, then that is her bad... but lets say I try to give her a call around noon and she isn't there? Is it unrealistic of me to have expected her to just give me a quick call, "Hey I am going out for a while, I'll give you call when I get back."
I didn't quite understand how that was "controling" either, but then I suck at relationships... Its funny. I can motivate people do task that they have never done before in record time, by understanding what they need, and how they look at life, but for the life of me, I cannot function in a relationship...
