Re: Who are we?
Good question - great answers. I keep wondering if I should start this. I plan on starting on Monday and have found a buddy at this site.
I am a 33 year old female, Nurse Practitioner by trade and mom of 3 by choice. I quit working when I was 5 mo pregnant with my 3rd and he just turned one in February.
I have been exercising (body for life weight lifting program) for the last 9 mo. and slowly losing the baby weight and am at my prepreg. weight. Before Thanksgiving I was at 150# and bought some new clothes. Well, I am currently 155#, but since I have stopped weight lifting I can't get those clothes on. I have always read things like that, but now I believe it.
I think I have been on every diet out there-Lifetime weight watchers member, Nutrasystem, jenny craig, mayo clinic, kaiser, isagenix, suger-busters- you name it. I think this is largely because my mother has been on every diet too. I was raised believing that I was fat (graduated high school 5'6"/130lb.) I would love to see that number again. But, after 3 kids, bodies change. So I am hoping to jump start a 10-15lb weight loss - so that I can gain another 50lbs for one more baby.
At least I will be healthier than the last 3 pregnancies.
I love this support system - I'm not sure I would do this without it.
thanks for asking
