Who are we?
Greetings All:
I am in the middle of my 6th day and struggling a little this weekend. I usually cut loose pretty well during the weekends (cooking, quests, drinkng, etc) and this is different. So, I'm looking for something to do.
Instead of just giving my regular status report I was wondering what kind of a person would do this to themself? Why? Is there a profile for those of us that attempt things such as this? Would appreciate any response.
I am 49 year old white male. Attorney by trade. I am 5' 10" and started this cleanse last Sunday night weighing 218 lbs, the most I've ever weighed in my life. I come from broad chested, athletic stock and have always kept in pretty good shape. I have run marathons, long distance swimming, biking and lifted weights most of my life.
HOWEVER, The past year I have slacked off my exercise program and indulged more than usual in alcohol and rx, leading to my weight gain and decline in overall health. I came across this plan and it seemed like a good way to drop the weight (I"m down to 204) and jump start a healthy lifestyle. This is not fun; however, I'm still glad I'm doing it. How about you?

p.s. I'm lucky enuff to have a steamroom at the house.....this has really helped. If you have access to steam or sauna, I highly recommend it
