No one says Saddam is great. but let's look at some facts. The shaw of Iran was a dictator, but our friend. We told him to be nice to his people or we would cut off his aid. He started to be nice to his people. Those people that he was nice too, overthrew him, ran him out of the country and took our U.S hostages and started torturing and murdering their competeing religous factions.
Then follow the domino effect. Iraq goes to war with Iran, we side with saddam and provide him with weapons because we now hate Iran.
Great move huh? If we would have just left the Shaw alone, he would be friends with Iran still, we would not have made Saddam so powerful. If we would have minded our own business in Afganistan, then we would not have aided Bin Laden in defeating the russians.Another great move that paid off. How about the 40 billion we spend to defend Saudi Arabia, who has plenty of human rights violations, it's just they have oil, so we don't care. Then because we are defending them, the saudi's hate us and that's where the hijackers came from. This thought that the U.S is so kind needs to go. We need to mind our own business. Tweet
