It may sound funny, but it is important to point out that the bible doesn't 'SAY' anything, it READS that the unforgiveable sin is the final rejection of God (unrepentant acceptance of eternal life). It's important to understand that we READ what God SAID in the past, not what He says in the present because we are to live by every word that PROCEEDS (present tense) out of the MOUTH of God when the Holy Spirit speaks to us daily. We read the word of truth (Ephesians 1:13 and 2 Timothy 2:15). Ephesians 6:17 is what we are to live by. We must keep in practice in order to avoid the unforgiveable sin, steadfastness does not come easy (Hebrews 5:14 "...BY PRACTICE...").
