Re: Ev
Can I suggest looking into the historical background of each religion. That's were I found my "proof" of Jesus.
My views are biased - of course! - but here are some irrefutable (as far as humanly possible anyway) facts evidencing Jesus' existence and actions in the world through legitamisisng the bible:
More copies of the new testament have been found than any other historical document, ever. (24 000 copies - compared to 10 copies of Caesar's, 7 of Plato's, 193 of Sophocles', 643 of Homer's). Hence it is the most historically accurate document ever.
The oldest retrieved copy of the new testament (actually quite a large percentage) were compiled 40-90 years after Jesus' death. (opposed to 1000 years after Caesar's death, 1200 years after Plato, 1400 years after Sophocles and 500 years after Homer). Again supporting extreme accuracy.
At least two gospels were completely indepenent in their compilation and never contradict.
Original scrolls have been found and partially translated that support the modern translations for some books.
Compare these and other facts you find to the other religious orders.
But ultimately, all this "proof" really doesn't matter. It also doesn't matter if you don't go to church (although, personally, I think you'r missing out!), or bible studies or youth group or what ever.
All you have to do is have faith in Jesus - which means more than it sounds. Mainly; love him, live your life for him and exalt him in all that you do. It's summed up well in James 2:14-26.
As to your current problems - sit in your room, close to door and talk to yourself about your problems. Sit there and nut it out - think about what is good and right and approriate for your situation and then realise you are talking to God. Because God is within you and always listening, He will guide you in the right direction - all you have to do is ask Him. You say you feel His presence - fantasic! You're 99% there. Now talk to that presence and He will guide you and show his love for you. Then, get out there and do what you two decided to do together. Exalt him. And when people ask you why you do what you do - tell them "I do it for God, because he is within me; I feel his presence and his love - and I want to love him in return!"
Preachy, hey! Sorry bout that! Hope this helps and God Bless. I'll pray for you.
