My personal opinion on this subject is as follows.
If a church has to get it's members to sign oaths, then the church leadership is failing to do what Jesus commanded. To go and make disciples. If the leadership was doing their job in making effective disciples, not only would oaths be needless, but living by Jesus' example would be second nature. You wouldnt have to be forced to live right, you would desire to. Like those of us that live in the Spirit each day. Those of us that crucify the flesh each day. Those of us that not only accept Jesus as our Saviour, but also as our Lord.
