Urinary pH

Without the right enzymes, you can't absorb the minerals. Or so I'm told. For instance, phosphatase is necessary for proper calcium absorption. Don't ask me why, however; I'm just repeating what I've heard. Google might be useful here.

Urinary pH over 7 probably smells like ammonia... right? This is, I'm told, evidence of insufficient minerals and/or too much acid -- the body is using ammonia as a last ditch effort to maintain some semblance of pH balance in the urinary tract. So urinary pH over 7 (especially as it approaches 8) should be considered a warning sign, not a good thing.
