After 20 years, outbreaks are becoming more frequent. Why?

Hello to all,

I am new here, but very thankful to have found such an interesting site.

After 20 years of genital herpes and only having one, maybe 2, outbreaks per year (and sometimes I wouldn't have one at all for nearly 2 years), what could cause outbreaks to increase to every other month (beginning about 6 months ago)?

A little background: For the past 18 months or so, I have been very conscious of my diet and health. Nowadays, I fast, cleanse, don't eat meat (more recently, but not for the whole 18 mos.), take herbs and minerals ( Dr. Schulze 's), exercise regularly and don't drink or smoke. Prior to changing my habits, I ate and drank just about whatever I wanted with no real or noticeable reprucussions and had very few outbreaks. I've never had any significant health problems and have not experienced any recent changes in my stress level (actually it's decreased) or lifestyle. I don't understand why the outbreaks are increasing.

I am learning how to cure the virus and am confident that I will discover what works best for my body. In the meantime, I'm extra curious as to what could be causing the occurances to increase after 20 years. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
