You're about to be transformed into
a butterfly, Katie.
Dear Katie,
You may be feeling moody and dysfunctional,
because your caterpillar-self is about to
become a butterfly.
Like a caterpillar in a chrysalis, your
body is undegoing major changes. And like
the caterpillar, you're not sure who you
will be when the transformation is complete.
It's VERY difficult, Katie, to make four
major changes in your eating-regimen within
30 days. Caffeine is highly addictive; comparable in tenacity to alcohol or tobacco.
Sugar is also addictive. Meat and dairy are
more socially and emotionally addictive, but,
nevertheless, hard to get over.
For years and perhaps decades, your 75 trillion cells were saturated with sugar,
caffeine, meat, and dairy molecules. And
now, with no notice, you've banished all four
of these toxic and problematic foods and drinks from your life.
Of course you're going to have some bad days.
Don't hesitate to eat some meat and dairy,
UNTIL you're SURE the addictions to caffeine
and
Sugar are history. Then you can phase out
the meat and most dairy. A lot of people try
to do it all at once -- and that can be a
bad mistake. Change your life, increment by
increment -- just like that caterpillar in
the pupa-capsule is slowly changing into a butterfly.
Drink LOTS of pure water, Katie. Gorge
yourself on it. Water will help the depression, and flush out all kinds of
toxic-debris from your intestinal tract.
Your brain, especially, needs that water
to fight off and eliminate depressive thoughts.
In a month or so, your REAL taste buds will
emerge from the sugar-guarded prison where
they have been languishing. When that happens,
Katie, you'll be able to taste how delicious
living foods really are. Conversely, you'll
want to throw up after taking a bite of a
glazed donut. Life will be much easier. Trust me on that.
If you stay upbeat and confident, this healing
crisis will pass. And then you'll emerge
from your chrysalis, a very different being;
one who flies throught the skies, instead of
crawls through the mud.
The best is yet to be! Don't doubt that for
a moment. Keep us posted on your progress
as you wend your way up the Healing Path.
Blessings,
Owen
