If you are going to have milk, like grz said, raw is best.

Non-hybridized heirloom grains like quinoa(my favorite), amaranth, and wild rice are best. Stay away from corn, wheat, rye, and all the other common grains. Eating free-range chicken and grass fed beef is excellent for an easier transition to a healing, vegan diet.

I still feed my family grass fed beef and free-range chicken on occasion and although it is not the best food, it isn't completly harmful either.

When eating milk, grains, and meat, just keep them as clean and healthy as possible. Your body can still clean itself of a lot of garbage while eating these foods. After you are much cleaner it will be much easier to give these up. It's usually better and a lot easier to transition into healthier selections before going all the way.
