This is why we advised a physical regimin, especially hatha yoga because it doesnt feed the ego and changing other aspects of ingrained behavior is usually at first too difficult, so temporary. A physical regimin can get us out of being controlled by our thoughts. Hatha yoga advises us to stretch till we feel some tension, then relaxing in that tension, half a min or so. Four or so postures is enough, repeated for 20 min will start the process that is the opposite of what we have learned to do up to now, which is to try to escape from expereince by ignoring whats really going on and seeking stimulation to our senses. If we are suffering mentally or physically we can find solace by turning our attention toward the source of our being, if thats too difficult we can try a meditation tecnique, if our minds activity still distacts us too much we can try hatha yoga, if we still cant calm down and find some relief, next is to get away from our predicament by focusing on helping someone else. If we are suffering and we really want relief the answers are available and these forums are full of people who want to assist others to find relief. One of the delimas is in how badly we really want to be freed from our self created situation. At first our suffering is a way to stay focused on our confused and illness creating life situation. We really dont want to change tho we do want to not suffer. Once we have admitted to ourselves we really want to be freed the way becomes our choice and not our delima.
