I have been eating raw meat for about two months (buffalo and ostrich now and grass-fed beef). I have gotten sick twice but it was from eating old meat and not raw meat. I looked into zapping food with a food zappicator. This could be a possible alternative for us raw meat eaters. If you cook your meat - steam it (best option I've heard of) to 140 degrees F for 3.5 minutes. This will kill all those parasites (from what I've read). I've been steaming meat sometimes, as well. You do kill all the beneficial enzymes so you need to replace those with your meal (Parazyme is good and I actually love the taste - kind of brewer's yeast meets citric acid ).
Raw is the way to go though, but we have to be careful. Buy your meat at Whole Foods if you can and just tell them you are going to eat it raw and they will take extra good care of you. You can show up on delivery days too, to make sure.
You may want to get on Paragone to get rid of those tapeworms. It's suppose to work well.
