Re: I still can't eat fruit, and have been on the diet 3 years
Hi Deb. I'm so glad you're doing better. No, I don't know how I got candida, and was not even aware that I had it until around Aug. My first symptoms that led me on the hunt for a diagnosis were sleeplessness and palpitations. But it all started back in May, when my bloodwork showed a borderline low thryoid number. I wanted to treat it by eliminating processed foods. When I tried to make the change in diet, the palpitations started. I figured it out in Aug, then bloodwork backed it up in Sep. I have been doing the diet (trial and error I guess) for about 2 months.
I took
Antibiotics back in March. Then I guess I had the usual amount of
Antibiotics during my lifetime. Also, when my thyroid was on the low side I was constipated alot. Once I changed my diet for thyroid back in May, that problem was alleviated. But the last few years with constipation may have been a cause for candida, I later found out. I don't notice any thyroid-type problems anymore. I take my temperature every morning to monitor it, and I usually get normal readings. I'm not cold or constipated anymore. I will have bloodwork to re-check thyroid again, when my new dr checks for my candida level.
Thank you for your concern.
