Re: Warning against institutionalized religious Dogma.
hello sir. hope youre doing well.
i cant refute any of what you have said. i honestly did not pay super close attention to all the interchanges here. i already know who i am dealing with and it sounds like you do too.
as for what sounded like an accusation against you, it was more of a statement of universal condition. we all preach what we need to hear. and yes, there comes a point when one reaches a maturity level where the errors of others are quite obvious. once the splinter is out of ones eye, then those logs in other's eyes can be addressed. the question is how? and then it goes back to love and forgiveness and not retaliating. evil cannot be fought with evil. jesus got angry and beat the money men in the temple. did that fix anything? not yet.
there are two ways to be righteous. one is to treat others the way we want to be treated and to turn the other cheek. the other, and riskier, version is to give people some of their own medicine because obviously, by their own behaviour, they have declared that this treatment is OK by them. if it isnt, then THEY shouldnt be doing it.
i have displayed all of these things in various situations with certain people here. it has been a mixed bag and my only goal is to continue to please the father. you dont fix lies and manipulations with more lies and manipulations. all a person can do is state the truth and go on. have i been maligned? yes. do i have any complaints? no, i trust god that it will all work out. i have left my own personal defence to Him. i want mercy and forgiveness. i must show mercy and forgiveness or i have no right to that.
in your defence, you are the only person on this forum that hasnt tried to own god and swing him like a bat at me. as a result we can talk to each other. thank you for that. and damn refreshed and rainy and whatever vecky calls herself and especially loquat (who really should know better than to act like a little girl) for their pharisee activities. jesus is the only way for them and repentence is the only message he is giving them. they are in the lords hands. not that they will listen but i suggest 1 corinthians 5 to them.
