Re: The 5 Points of FINALISM

Not sure I'd go so far as to say 'hate'. They may be misguided, but I still regard them as my brethren in Christ.

Which raises an interesting point. When you have these teachings drummed into you, often from an early age; when ppl you know, look up to, trust & respect believe the same things; when you hear it preached every Sunday morning (and possibly evening as well) from the pulpit by your own minister or pastor; when you're told by all & sundry that this 'truth' admits of no dissent, that it is the yardstick by which fidelity to the Scriptures must be measured, and any challenge must be considered at least borderline heresy if not an outright revolt against fundamental truth, then it's not so hard to understand why a majority of adherents look no further.

The real miracle is that despite all these built-in 'safeguards' that are designed to stop you asking too many embarrassing questions, there is still a significant minority that somehow manages to break free from the stranglehold that the 'rapture cult' has on them. Some of them look back in horror or utter disgust at their former beliefs, and go on to write some of the most effective rebuttals against them.

So, all is not lost, and my hope is that one day that trickle might turn into a flood that reduces this insidious error to an irrelevant curiosity. Same goes for '3rd Templars'.
