Trouble with that 'interpretation' is that it violates their basic hermeneutical principle - that it should be read literally unless there is compelling evidence to the contrary. The minute you admit they might be figurative/spiritual, your rebuilt temple disappears in a puff of smoke, along with the millennium that witnesses its construction.
So they're caught between a rock and a hard place, and it makes no difference whether they are 'classic' premils or dispos - both are caught on the horns of a dilemma that admits of no solution unless one adopts the Finalist interpretation, period.
