It can't be the best post I ever made because you already praised me for another post being the best. ;)
We are in the Kingdom of God as christians...eternity starts now, and I have said that many times on this forum. It has nothing to do with the 1000 years. That is why we can't just sit back and wait for Jesus to return and do nothing, because we are meant to serve now...not just later. It has nothing to do with earning our salvation...we are already promised that, if we endure to the end.
Everyone has been gifted differently and have different placement to do the things that He wants for us to do. The bible is our guideline to go by as we seek God's daily assignment through the Holy Spirit.
The mystery of God is written all through the bible. It matters not whether I read it literally or not. The message still comes through loud and clear. Yet in the midst of that message is info to put to good use that tells us what is still going to happen in our future as it leads to Christ's return.
If you want to think that a person's belief that an actual return of Jesus in a glorified body is not being honest then you can think that. But to be honest, if I had to believe like Loquat, I would be just one step away from going all out and saying that Jesus return was just an allegory as well and not expect to really see Him until I die.
If that isn't honest enough for you, then I guess I'm wasting my time trying to explain.
