Neither did I. You don't need them to read & understand His word. They are a useful tool & aid to further or enrich one's understanding, but by no means are they an essential prerequisite for acquiring a basic grasp of foundational truth, sufficient unto salvation.

As to your specific questions, they are many & varied, some with implications that are so far-reaching that even you might be surprised by the reply. However, they require a fairly comprehensive response to do them proper justice - a response that takes first principles into consideration. That's no trivial undertaking, and I just don't have the time to do all that presently.
