People leave Jehovah's organization because they want to do their own thing. They don't want to have any laws or principles telling them what to do in their life not even the Creator of the universe, Jehovah God. Some leave because they don't want be hypocritical, that is, they don't want to give the impression they love God when they really don't.

And absolutely yes! I'm in total agreement of this loving form of Bible based correction by God. Those who are disfellowshiped are avoided and shunned for many good reasons even if the person is a family member or close friend. Those who are inactive are not disfellowshiped....Why wouldn't disfellowshiped persons NOT be be shunned? True Christians follow and observe what the Bible, God's Word commands us to do at 1st Corinthians 5:1-11....There are scriptural REASONS for removing a brother or sister from the Christian congregation and there are BENEFITS for all involved and including the one that is disfellowshiped.....(Romans 16:17, 2nd John 10).

Many who have been disfellowshiped often return back to Jehovah's organization and resume warm relationships with their brothers and sisters because of their wholehearted repentance and love for Jehovah. They eventually came to their senses and are now happy and spiritually vibrant. Those who never return were never of our "sort" anyway (1st John 2:19) I personally call it the "Judas Affect".
