Re: Do You Have to Speak in Tongues to Be Saved?
This is one true meaning and it is happening today contrary to what many Christians are trying to get other Christians to believe. The book of Acts talks about this.
There are other purposes of tongues as well described in Corinthians. I have gone into detail posting on this subject in the past. It's really a waste of time because people do not want to believe the truth. I'm not willing to waste anymore time on it. People will choose to believe what they want to in the end anyway. Christians twist scripture to come up with false beliefs. They refuse to use the help of the God-given experiences of millions of Christians to help them see the proper interpretation of scripture. They fight against truth; they fight against God. Someone else may be willing to debate this. I'm pretty sure someone will be willing to post scripture with false interpretation.
I just thought I would post Brown's video due to the subject matter recently discussed about some groups teaching that we are not even saved if we do not speak in tongues. What a twist of scripture to come up with that false belief. Then there's the other extreme group teaching that if we do speak in tongues or even believe in it that we are not even saved! They will make you denounce your real experience from God telling you it's of the devil. They will make you think that you must renounce this if you want to be saved.
I wonder why the enemy has so come against this in the Christian world. Must be something powerful in it or he wouldn't bother.
