Re: Anybody believe this is true?
Also, what do you think it means when someone has a heart of stone?
Does that not mean they have a hardened heart?
Does a hardened heart suddenly become humble on it's own? Well if that could happen, that means it wasn't a hardened heart anymore.
And if someone can humble their hardened heart on their own, then why did God say he was the one that would do it?
Ezekial 36:26
26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
And if someone could humble their hardened heart on their own, why does the scriptures say the flesh is no help at all? If someone could humble their hardened heart on their own, it seems like the flesh would be of help.
John 6:63
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.
And why does the scriptures say no one seeks for God (before they have a new heart) if that is not really true?
Romans 3:
9What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10 as it is written:
“None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
Were you that one exception that was seeking for God, apart from him doing a work in you by the Spirit, since the flesh is no help at all?
