Re: Anybody believe this is true?

You seem to think others just look to Jesus in other people only, through personal change and experience. What you see are people who believe that "whosoever will" can become a christian at any moment and are growing in the Lord and not some wrong understanding of the bible that says that only certain people are chosen of God to be saved.

You think people like Sproul are to be trusted to give truth. You only trust people who are calvinists. You quote them constantly and go to their websites for what you consider Truth and lay it on this forum so thick.

If you believed what you just stated in this long post you just put a lot of energy into, you would never quote any of them, but only write your own words that you believe are true and from the bible because they could be wrong, for you don't know everything they believe or what they do behind the scenes...you just know they are calvinists. Anyone can memorize scripture and learn a doctrine and seem sincere.

But the real problem I see in your beliefs for this forum is that you are not balanced. You claim pentecostals are all about emotion and how it's all fake and the next day they go back to the way they once were. And??? That's the human condition...you do it too. Does your poor husband who use to be part of the penetcostal life now have to be without emotion and only about your understanding of what it means to be in Christ alone to share that something stirred him? Does every meaningfully emotional have to be analyzed by your Christ alone standards? Why can't he have both without a joke about it...or scoffing? Why do calvinists always sound so cynical and sarcastic if it doesn't meet their perfect idea of "Christ alone". Christ alone has no meaning or power without a relationship with Christ. If I have to judge by your calvinistic beliefs whether you have a relationship with Christ alone, then you failed. It's faked just as much as your lesbian friend faked you out. It's all about trusting in the Lord and knowing that He is working in each person...not just some. If you didn't believe the way you do, you wouldn't be so disappointed in people and their failings or weakness. But because you believe only certain people are chosen, you are looking for something to prove to you who God chose ...people who have perfect calvinistic adherence. Which is no proof at all.

I believe you love the Lord because I feel your love for Him, not that you can quote someone or whether you can understand scripture perfectly. I believe God is still working in you just like He is still working on each one of us. We are not done yet, God is still working on us even though we reached out and took the gift of grace. God listed every name in the Book of Life. We are all named and listed. All of His creation has meaning and purpose. We just don't want to be blotted out of that list because that means eternal death and not eternal life. Life without Jesus is eternal death and darkness. To prevent from being blotted out means we need a personal relationship with Christ. To believe in Him, because believing in Him is more than just knowing He existed or believing we are chosen or having perfect understanding of the bible.
