I understand. We all want as little addition to what we consider food, as possible. The work of herbs often is to provide substances needed to push the balance in a certain direction. This does not usually include a long-term use. Often it is short or middle term use; like homeopathy for ex. Herbs are basically food, with enormous potential, and plenty of phyto- nutrients and macro- and micro- elements; but we as human kind in a way forgot or underutilize that. Hippocrates said many centuries ago: "Let thy food be thy medicine."
