Re: hormones/skin links and fasting

Legolas,
Sounds like a good plan!

Hypogonadic and high shbg are connected.
High estrogen may come from environmental toxins (pesticides, plastic etc.), as well as from more fat on the body. You may benefit from avoiding plastic, as much as it is possible (esp. when food and water are in it). Honestly I try also avoiding the plasticized in-store receipts, but I do still have some exposure. I've thrown everything plastic in my kitchen, except maybe for the funnels and some plastic knife-handles.
The cruciferous group vegetables have exo-estrogen-blocking effect, so I try not forget them on any given week, ideally 2-3 x and more.

Actually your prl wasn't that high, ... on a scale of 5-20, mine was 60 and my docs were looking for a supplement link, a Depression link or smth in that range. For them to look for a microadenoma they have fixed something like 100 and more. MRI showed normal, but as you say it may be undetectable in many cases. Surely fasting would help! I want to do a long fast too.

I recommend about 1/2 tsp of the oil in your palm right after shower when the skin is still a bit damp. That way it locks in the moisture as well. You need about 2-3 min to see how much it will absorb, then either walk around with minimal clothing or wipe with towel the excess - if there is excess you may adjust the quantity. For the face and back of the hands I find Jojoba to be the best. For my palms, esp if I washed cloths or spent too much time preparing food, coconut oil is the richest, maybe alternated with OOil.

Best,
DL
