mistakes, bugs or adaptation, a bit on fasting

300 K y.o. Comp and its bugs! - #461, that would be funny, if it wasn't serious enough. Refreshing post :)
I can point one bug, if you allow me - appetite (or even food thoughts) vs true hunger, empty stomach vs. true hunger, acid burn vs hunger - how to make the distinction between these pairs of inputs, such that to modify the outcome. Another would be - choosing food that burns instead of being stored. I stumbled upon the info that avocados, for example, while being filling, still burn quickly and induce burn of stored fat.
Another bug, so I heard/read, is the deficiency of essential nutrients that the body can't find in processed/cooked stuff, so it demands more - then it is given again depleted food, and the deficit of nutrients never stops accumulating per gram of body mass, while the grams become kilograms. If urgency exists, some good supplement can do the trick. I can't stop talking about Tangy Tangerine 2.0 and how good it is.
To me, the only time I needed really to loose more weight (about 8 pounds, I know weight-wise I am quite lucky) it helped immensely to fill my stomach with raw salad - until I nearly could not eat anything else, then have a little protein and this would be my last meal 3-4 hrs before bed. I still eat those salads now, honestly with enormous pleasure - when I use savory organic vegetables and clean dressing, a handful of raw nuts/avocado, spicy mustard sprouts and green juice if needed, it is very hard to entice me with anything else.
In the beginning some adjustment is necessary, it would feel strange - like the ppl who last saw me eating such salad, that - so they thought - I could never finish (take an "usual" salad then multiply by factor of 5 at least or 10 if you just imagined a bowl of some lettuce).
Another bug to work around is the interchangeability of appetite with physical-activity-suppression of appetite. These are polarities that seemingly should not be interchangeable, but they are.
Further, something else I've noticed from experience are the set points. If I maintained a weight for a while, restricting food or having more will not influence much the outcome in matter of few days. The changing pattern need to be repeated more than few days, in order to set a new point for the weight. This is one of the sides of homeostasis - maybe not even a mistake/bug, just this help us go through all these 300 000 years, or maybe more.
Leptin would be another thing to work on. Passion-activities (what ever the passion is for) I find decrease appetite. Boredom or discontent make you think about food.
What would be one of the most general mistakes in the program or its carrying hardware? Probably a dose or more of irrationality - we stick to habits because they get imprinted into the subconscious and into the very-fabric of our cells, even if they don't make sense anymore to our conscious mind, we are stuck with them.... be careful what we imprint. Habit is a second nature, used to say the wise people. A good work-around - replace it with new habit, don't let the old neural circuit any air-time, that way we can wire the neurons in a new way.
Some other fact, not less important is that often we feel hungry, but we are in fact thirsty - how about that one? Lol. I've discovered it not only by drinking more while fasting, but recently - getting a Potassium bicarbonate drink (I was pretty sure being low on potassium) and my hunger disappeared for about 3-4 hours.
I just can't stop without telling about another one - the Science has already proven that habits of the grand-parents can still have effect on the grand-kid even if they are not around at all - toxicity and microorganisms dumped into the baby-mother, then into her baby before it is born, cell memory, DNA activation and suppression, packing of genes (like packing Java classes) vs. unpacking of genes and transcribing them into proteins, therefore structures and behaviors. I know, I may think that my grand-ma scoliosis screwed my life forever, since I also got it, complemented by her nervousness and anxious character and frail-emotionality. Yes, but no - now epi-genetics comes to confirm that we can switch on and off our genes through our thoughts, choices and behaviors. (And, God be my witness, I did switch off some of these crazy genes.)
There is a story about a mercury toxicity in the grand-kid of a woman, who unfortunately, never saw the baby - it got through the mother from her mother ...! Nature spares the mother (she is already grown up and can have other babies, if this doesn't survive - don't say I'm cruel, this is how nature operate.)
.. now you may not like this, but I have sufficient feedback to claim that fasting resets many programs/genes. It is incredibly rejuvenating cleansing and repairing. people have even cleared Mercury through fasting, not to mention MS, cancer and countless horrible conditions, in front of which my come-and-go-osteoarthritis looks like joke.
