Re: Reincarnation, angelic beings and ancient mythology
Right on with the types and shadows
What can I say? My understanding of spiritual beings was heavily challenged when I got off the beaten path and read the other books alluded to by scripture which got left out.
Had to sort out a lot of influences that didn't match back to back with scripture, but that's the name of the game, 'study and show thyself approved'.
The two angels which visited Abraham and Sarah, which ate and drank with them, sat under their tent... How did Abraham know that they were of Divine origin, but why did they stay to enjoy Abraham's hospitality?
They had a message about the fate of Sodom and Gomorra, and later in the tale, they were seemingly physically under threat. They were physical enough that the men of the city wanted to play homosexual power and dominance games on them, thus obviously visually clear to the naked and sinful eye..
And in a certain way very physically active, at least for a short period, in the affairs of men- enough to provoke men to lust.
They showed that they were not men by applying blindness to the men of the city-
even then doing something physically which Lot could percieve in action
What is your interpretation of
http://biblehub.com/genesis/6-4.htm ?
Also, the report of the measurements in
http://biblehub.com/deuteronomy/3-11.htm ?
We tend to treat those sorts of details as frippery in the churches in the states, but all I know is the details were recorded because they meant /something/ to the folk that wrote those records! ;-)
Reincarnation is.. reincarnation.
If the idea is a problem, you can discuss it with Jesus/Yahoshuvah during your time after the journey in the physical plane is finished.
Same here for that matter, there's still a metric poopton of stuff I'm seeking answers to. ;-)
