If something matters to me then it matters. I don't much care whether you think it should matter to me, it does.

So you picked a prayer from the Gnostic Society. I think the idea of contemplating all sides of an issue internally is a good idea. I do not think trying to fool people as to your beliefs is a good idea. Of course most of us at least for a time when reading on here care about the things one another believe. That is the stuff from which real relationships are formed. It is normal and healthy.
