Re: The Saviour, Not a Helper...
Interesting!
But does he say that Jesus, Yah-ho-shu-vah (Yah is my salvation, literal translation, Jesus is the nearest Greek transliteration) is not the Son of God?
There's a finer point there.
Do, for example, God, Jesus, and the holy spirit express themselves in unique personalities?
The confusion might be easiest to look at from other scripture... And from the original hebraic. The three-in-one is expressed again and again irrevocably in all scripture, and the sense of echad, one, as in ''the LORD (YHWH, YAHWEH) thy God (elohim) is echad (one).''
http://biblehub.com/hebrew/259.htm (Strongs coincidence, ECHAD)
One, of one mind, inseparable
However, much of the OT words used in hebrew express God as plural. See, for example, the creation of Adam and Eve, ''let Us make man in our image''
So the business of making theological sense out of this apperant inconsistency gives us.. Lots of different ways of thinking of our creator and savior.
The trinity is the traditional way of explaining, ''that is just how it is'' :)
I will see if I find inconsistencies, vertek.
So far I have not read posts by trapper denying Jesus' divinity, but I will keep my eyes open.
