Lots of good questions. My best advice to you right now is to not overthink or overquestion everything. Ask Dr. McHaney your questions, but also realize that no human can predict how long it will take you to heal. Based on my own healing journey and that of others in the FB group, if you do the program, healing will come. I definitely wouldn't go with the "psych drug sledge hammer" approach. It's likely your liver is already congested, and those meds will just add to it.

Your mother's health has contributed your troubles now, but healing can still come.

When I mentioned taking calcium to slow down a copper dump at night, it is a calcium-magnesium supplement called Paramin. Those are part of my daily supplements, anyway, and one extra at bedtime or in the middle of the night can help. Done with Dr. McHaney's permission. I don't add anything without speaking to him. You need to be willing to trust whoever you work with and not add in other stuff.
